Father Mathews Basketball Club is committed to safeguarding children.

By working under the Guidance of Basketball Ireland Father Mathews Basketball Club ensures that;

1. The best interests of children and young people at the club are of paramount importance.

2. Participation in Basketball is fun and enjoyable.

3. Children and young people are provided with the opportunity to learn and develop new skills while making new friends in a safe environment.

It is the responsibility of all adults in the club to be aware of best practice regarding children’s safety, to actively promote best practice and to be ever vigilant and aware of their responsibilities to children and young people in their care.

Father Mathews Basketball club will work with parents and guardians to ensure appropriate opportunity for participation or suggest alternatives if the club cannot meet the needs of the child.
